Hello, I’m Dr. Karin Hudson.

Dr. Karin Hudson, Coach and CEO of Consider Yourself Credentialed.

Our story

I’ve spent decades in education and psychology, so of course I value learning. But I’ve also learned that your worth doesn’t depend on another degree or credential. It lives in who you are, right now. The deepest credential isn’t something handed to us from the outside, it’s what we carry within. Our lived experience, our voice, our wisdom - these, too, are enough. Sometimes they’re overlooked or buried, but they’re always there, waiting to be seen and acknowledged.

This is the heartbeat of CYC: reminding us that we don’t have to earn our place, we only need to remember it.

About Me

Hello, I’m Dr. Karin Hudson, PsyD.

My path began in Austria, where I trained as an AMI Montessori teacher. Over thirty  years ago, I moved to the United States with a passion for education and a growing curiosity about the emotional wellbeing of both children and adults. While still teaching, I returned to school and earned my Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate in Psychology, becoming a licensed Clinical Psychologist. Over the past two decades, I have worked in diverse and high-pressure environments—emergency rooms, hospitals, clinics, and community programs—supporting people through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Through it all, one truth has remained constant: my connection to nature. From developing outdoor learning programs for children to weaving ecotherapy practices into mental health work, I’ve witnessed the profound ways that nature restores balance, builds resilience, and opens the door to growth and healing.

I started Consider Yourself Credentialed® to move beyond the confinements of a clinical license and create a space where people can receive value-based coaching without the necessity of a mental healthdiagnosis. Here, my focus is on fostering balance, authenticity, and wellbeing—drawing from both professional expertise and lived wisdom.

If you’re curious about whether coaching or therapy is the right fit for you, I invite you to schedule an initial discovery call so we can explore the best approach for your needs.
